Welcome to Our Apartment in Zermatt

We’re very much looking forward to welcoming you to Zermatt and hope you’ll enjoy a wonderful stay surrounded by the mountains and the iconic Matterhorn.
To ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for everyone, please take a moment to read the following terms.

By confirming your booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Booking & Confirmation

Your reservation becomes binding once you receive our written confirmation (email is sufficient) and the agreed payment or deposit has been received.

2. Payment

The total rental price will be confirmed at the time of booking.

Unless otherwise stated:
* A deposit may be required to secure your reservation.
* The remaining balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival.
* For short-notice bookings, full payment may be required immediately.
* The rental price typically includes utilities, bed linen, towels, and final cleaning unless specified otherwise.

3. Visitor’s Tax (Kurtaxe)

Zermatt charges a mandatory visitor’s tax (Kurtaxe / taxe de séjour) per person per night, in accordance with municipal regulations.

This tax may either:
* Be included in your booking price, or
* Be charged separately before or upon arrival.

All guests are required to provide the necessary personal details for official guest registration. This registration may entitle you to certain local benefits (e.g., guest card advantages, depending on current municipal rules).

4. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit may be requested. It will be returned after your departure provided the apartment is left in good condition and no damage has occurred.

5. Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in: As soon as the apartment is ready but not later then 16:00
Check-out: not later than 10:00

Please inform us of your expected arrival time in advance.

Zermatt is a car-free village. Private vehicles must be parked in Täsch, where you can take the shuttle train to Zermatt. From the train station, you may reach the apartment by foot or by local e-taxi. We are happy to provide guidance prior to your arrival.

Late check-out may be possible upon request, depending on availability.

6. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing.

Unless otherwise agreed:
* Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival
* 100% of the stay may be charged for very late cancellations or no-shows

We strongly recommend purchasing travel and cancellation insurance.

7. During Your Stay

To help preserve the peaceful alpine atmosphere of Zermatt, we kindly ask that you:
* Treat the apartment and furnishings with care
* Respect neighbours and observe quiet hours ( between 22:00 and 07:00)
* Occupy the apartment only with the number of guests stated in the booking
* Refrain from smoking / e-smoking inside the apartment
* Parties and events are not allowed unless agreed in advance.

8. Pets

Pets are not allowed at House Mojo.

9. Damages

Guests are responsible for any damage caused during their stay, whether by themselves or accompanying persons. Please inform us immediately if something is damaged — open communication is always appreciated.

10. Children / Babies

Our hotel exclusively welcomes guests aged 17 and older.

11. Liability

We are not liable for loss or theft of personal belongings during your stay.
Liability is governed by Swiss law, particularly the Swiss Code of Obligations (Art. 253 et seq.).

12. Force Majeure

If events beyond our control (such as natural hazards, extreme weather conditions affecting access to Zermatt, or official restrictions) prevent the rental from taking place, we will refer you to your travel and cancelation insurance. Further claims are excluded to the extent permitted by Swiss law.

13. Data Protection

Guest information is collected solely for reservation processing and mandatory registration with the local authorities in accordance with Swiss data protection law.

14. Applicable Law

Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is the competent court in the Canton of Valais (Wallis), Switzerland.
